Ian Stratton has more than 30 years experience as a professional photographer having started his career working in pro film processing laboratories working for clients such as Lord Snowdon, Lord Lichfield and Terry O’Neill.
After a few years of working in different central London labs a career as a freelance photographer was the next step. Soon Ian was working for the Daily Express on a regular basis as well as the Conde Nast publications, Vogue, Tatler and Brides magazines. Ian Stratton’s images have appeared in all of the national newspapers and a broad cross section of national and international publications.
Brentford FC photographer
For a period of five seasons Ian was the club photographer at Brentford Football Club documenting the clubs on field journey through promotion, cup and play off final appearances at Cardiff’s Millennium stadium as well as producing and photographing for the club’s merchandise catalogues.
London, Surrey and Sussex
More recently Ian has worked on events at Westminster Abbey including the visit of the President of the USA, Barak Obama and A Service celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Queens Coronation Service.
He has also worked regularly for local newspapers in south London, Croydon, Surrey and Sussex as well as shooting PR and commercial work for clients including William Reed Business Media, Camelot Uk, Metropolis Business Media, Beattie Communications, Marie Curie Cancer Care, White Label Pr and Oasis Academies.
Ian Stratton is based in Surrey just to the south of Croydon, within easy reach of the M25 and less than an hour’s travel from central London. Ian is happy to travel to cover your assignments.
